figment
February 2025
Haunting at my side
I’ve always loved quality time
A paper doll stemming, hip to hip
Mimicking my routine
Imagine
A raw disclosure
Contrary to our cagey conversations
I’d concede
Accept my angst
Obtain an occasion of ordinary
Above alienating exchanges
I’ve tired
Fiddling with fate
In your stead
A fabricated figment
Come! Follow me!

i’ll take it on the rocks
stonehenge
a toast to you
slainte
come get a taste
no lipsmackers mountain dew
kisses of jameson will do
i’ve never craved another
have you?
can i take your order don julio?
papaya, lime, and tajin
a perfect trio
with the jarabe tapatío
squeeze and squint
if i want to pucker my lips
and swing my hips
sour mix will do
can i take your order captain morgan?
aye aye captain
one juice, two juice, three juice, four
berry brandy, run brandy! run!
dance a dancehall dance you say?
not so refreshing for me
but some mint and ginger
and i feel free
can i take your order johnnie walker?
you brought rob roy too?
both bitter and sweet
but i don’t like the two
so close to home
the bagpipes and ceilidh
i like mine
mine feel just right
a barmaid is that
at your service indeed
but a maid has preferences
don’t you see
don julio, captain morgan, johnnie walker alike
insist as you might
none can fight
my jameson oh my jameson
for my family a toast
sliante mhaith
good health to you i boast
